Fresh Lime Soda

Fresh Lime Soda is a theater ensemble, incubator, and artistic community with roots in NYC that aims to amplify new works and foster community among the South Asian Indo Caribbean diaspora. We produce theatrical performances, workshops, staged readings, community dialogues, new works, watch parties and skills training for SAIC artists. Our ensemble is rooted in the belief that theater should be accessible to all, which is why all of Fresh Lime’s events are free and open to the public, and incorporate a lively, facilitated discussion following the performance. We seek to create accessible and interactive political theater, so we use these discussions as community conversations and opportunities to start inclusive intergenerational conversations about identity, family, culture and oppressive systems, while also being fun, uplifting, and focusing on audience-performer interaction and celebration of individual identity.
